New in 2010! Sherlock Holmes comes to Cambridge, OH in a case written by local playwright Anne Chlovechok.

The game’s afoot in Cambridge, Ohio where you will have a suspense-filled encounter with world-renowned detective Sherlock Holmes in historic downtown Cambridge, site of the Dickens Victorian Village and Dickens Characters.

Solve the mystery of Sherlock Holmes and the Case of the Taylor Tontine. The Colonel Taylor legacy is threatened by an ancient pledge with unforeseen and unavoidable contemporary ramifications.

Get into the spirit by donning Victorian attire. Wander the picturesque streets in search of clues and compete for the grand prize of $250 and a variety of other valuable gifts as you attempt to solve the mystery. Enjoy a new mystery written especially for Sherlock in Cambridge.

The Game’s Afoot
Friday Evening: 8:30p.m.
Join your fellow “partners in crime” for an exciting evening! Dr. Watson is in town giving a talk on current Forensic Techniques at a symposium at the South-Eastern Ohio Regional Medical Center. His good friend, Sherlock Holmes, has been touring the US seeking American oddities and agrees to meet Watson in Cambridge, not realizing that it was not in Massachusetts but in Ohio. Before long, Holmes’ tour is interrupted as the local police solicit his help.

Start to formulate your theories as Holmes and Watson set about solving the case. The evening includes desserts, coffee, and tea. Registration and seating begins at 7:30pm with the start of the ‘problem’ occurring at 8:30p.m.

Prizes will be awarded for Victorian costumes.

2:00 -4:00p.m./ in the downtown

Continue your search for the solution to the crime and clues as you visit Cambridge historic Victorian homes, businesses, and the Dickens Characters themselves. You may encounter Holmes and Watson on their quest for clues as you enjoy your self-guided tour. Continue to complete your answer sheet while you tour to help formulate your own theories.

The Game Continues
Saturday Evening: 7:00p.m.
Return to the meeting place for round two of the mystery, more desserts, coffee, and tea. Match your theories to the local authorities and London’s unofficial police detective, Holmes himself. Are these the same twists and turns that you should be discovering? What are the family secrets that Holmes has discovered and do they lead to your ability to solve the crime? Have you matched wits with the celebrated detective, or are you a clueless wonder? The clues are revealed and then more prizes--look alike contests and more best dressed Victorians.

The Mystery is Solved!
Turn-in Clue/Answer Sheet: Sunday 12:30p.m.
Brunch: 1:00p.m.

A hearty brunch is served along with Mr. Holmes, Dr. Watson, and the full cast of characters. Turn in your clue/answer sheet before brunch and see how you fared after you eat.

Have you chosen well? Once the mystery is solved, the winners will be announced, and grand prizes awarded.
